Transfer Tracker Summer Edition

58views

With the World Lacrosse Championships in full swing and an already epic summer of lacrosse from the PLL, now is as good a time as any to shift a little focus back to the college game. Since Notre Dame took home the title, attention has now turned to the transfer portal and this years Transfer Tracker to see where some big name players across DI, II, and III end up. After this year we will most likely be coming to the end of the COVID 5th years, but until that happens there are some big names changing jerseys and we are here to let you know where they will end. A lot of attention was given to Princeton’s senior class as many were in the portal halfway through the season looking for homes for their graduate studies.

So far it looks like Syracuse has bolstered an already impressive roster with the addition of some impact players in Mason Kohn from Tufts. The reigning DIII Player of the Year fills the FO void that the orange desperately needed this season.

Alex Slusher from Princeton using his 5th year at Duke is a huge addition to a stacked Blue Devil roster. A sleeper pick up has to be Jake Bonomi from Michigan heading to Notre Dame. Bonomi can fill a big role in the midfield for the defending champions. Another player to keep an eye on is Thomas Greenblatt who heads to Ohio State from Binghamton. Greenblatt can do a little bit of everything and should be a huge pick up for the Buckeyes.

The 45-day transfer portal window opened on May 8 and gave undergraduate entrants until Wednesday, June 21 to submit their names without having to sit for a year. That window for DI does not apply to prospective grad students. It also doesn’t apply to DII, and DIII who saw some big names leave their institutions for new opportunities. With the news of Cabrini ceasing operations after 2024, 21 players entered the transfer portal ahead of this school year. We’ll have more on that and Coach Steve Colfer’s resignation later on.

This is a recent list, and names will be added, and updates made as players make their decisions. Please note that this list includes their current school and where they are transferring to. Students entering the Portal also have the option to stay where they are which is sure to happen with some of these players.
