Gaston and Jensen land Liberty League Weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore Clifford Gaston and graduate student Taylor Jensen landed Liberty League Men’s Lacrosse weekly honors announced Monday (May 15). Gaston was named the Offensive Performer of the Week for the second time this season, while Jensen was the Defensive Performer of the Week for the second straight week.

Gaston recorded eight points on five goals and three assists to help RIT to a pair of wins in the NCAA Tournament, last weekend. Gaston scored two goals and added an assist in the Tigers 20-8 win over Western Connecticut in Saturday’s second round game. He scored three goals and added a pair of assists in RIT’s 20-9 win over Babson in Sunday’s third round game.

Jensen caused eight turnovers, grabbed 10 ground balls and had two assists in two games in the NCAA Tournament, last weekend. He caused five turnovers, grabbed five ground balls and had an assist in the Tigers 20-8 win over Western Connecticut in Saturday’s third round. Jensen caused three turnovers, had five ground balls and an assist in the Tigers 20-9 win over Babson in Sunday’s third-round game.
