NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Senior defender Blake Muschewske (Excelsior, Minn.-Holy Family Catholic) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men’s lacrosse team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday, May 2. It is the first weekly accolade of his career.

Muschweske shored up the defensive efforts for the Titans in a 2-0 week that saw Illinois Wesleyan claim its fifth straight CCIW Regular Season title. He scooped up five ground balls and caused three turnovers as IWU defeated North Central, April 26, and Carthage, April 29, to complete a 6-0 CCIW regular season.

Illinois Wesleyan heads into the CCIW Tournament as the top seed and will host fourth-seeded Carthage Thursday night, May 4, at 7:30 p.m.
