John DeLucia scored on a man-up opportunity with 59 seconds remaining in the third quarter to give QU a 12-11 lead. Trevor Douglas and Dylan Donnery each scored to extend the Bobcats’ lead to three goals.
 
VMI scored twice in the last four minutes, but the Bobcats held on for the 14-13 MAAC victory.
 
Quinnipiac improves to 6-6 (4-4 MAAC) with today’s win, tied for fourth place.

  • John DeLucia scored three goals to go along with one assist, and Trey Gehen chipped in with two goals and two helpers. DeLucia has a team-high 42 points this year.
  • Trevor Douglas added two goals and one assist. He’s up to 15 scores this season.
  • Graduate goalie Nick DiMuccio made 12 saves in the win for the Bobcats. He has 10+ saves in nine different games this year.
  • Demitri George won 19-of-31 faceoff battles, as the graduate student scooped up 13 ground balls. George has won 56.6% of all faceoff battles in 2023.
  • Steven Germain scored twice, and Dylan Donnery scored twice.
  • First-year Justin Robbert chipped in with two assists.
