Denver Women’s Lacrosse Ranks No. 4 in the Country

DENVER – The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team ranks fourth in the country in both the Inside Lacrosse Women/IWLCA coaches poll and the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine poll for the second straight week.
It is the highest ranking in program history as the Pioneers are also off to their best start. DU is 10-0 on the campaign and is coming off a 12-7 win at No. 21 Jacksonville last Wednesday.
The Pioneers have four wins against ranked opponents, including at No. 5 Maryland on March 5 and No. 4 Boston College in Jacksonville on March 19. DU is one of three undefeated teams in the country, alongside No. 1 Syracuse (11-0) and No. 13 Army (9-0)
Syracuse stayed at No. 1 in the country in both national polls for the second-straight week.
UP NEXT: Denver begins Big East Conference play this weekend as it opens a two-game homestand at Peter Barton Stadium. DU hosts Villanova on Saturday at 1 p.m. MT before taking on Butler next Wednesday, April 5 on its home turf.
