DENVER – The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team rank sixth in the country in both the Inside Lacrosse Women/IWLCA coaches poll and the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine ranking.
The Pioneers are 8-0 on the season and are off to their best start in program history. They are coming off home wins against Niagara and Delaware.
DU has been ranked at No. 6 since defeating then-No. 5 Maryland on March 1 in College Park.
North Carolina remains as the No. 1 team in the country in both national polls.
UP NEXT: Denver has a pair of top-20 matchups this week as it travels to Florida. The Pioneers play No. 5 Boston College in a neutral-site contest on Sunday before taking on Jacksonville next Wednesday.
About the ILWomen/IWLCA Poll: Unveiled on Mondays throughout the season, the poll is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.
