JAMIESON STRONG IN NET DESPITE LOSS: BY THE NUMBERS
The Albany FireWolves (2-9) were defeated by the Toronto Rock (10-3), 12-6, at the FirstOntario Centre in Toronto on Saturday evening. The game was close through the first three quarters, but the Rock pulled away in the fourth to secure their tenth win of the season.

The FireWolves offense was led by Tanner Thomson and Kieran McArdle who both had 3 points in the game. Thomson (1 goal, 2 assists) is now second on the FireWolves with 25 assists, and ranks third with 39 total points and 14 goals. McArdle continues to lead the team with 49 total points and 34 assists and is second with 15 goals. Colton Watkinson and Corson Kealey each had 1 goal and 1 assist in the contest. Kealey’s goal was the first of his young NLL career. Brett Manney, Hiana Thompson, John LaFontaine, and John Piatelli each added 1 point in the game. Thompson now sits fourth on the club with 12 assists and is fifth with 20 total points and 8 goals.
In net, Doug Jamieson racked up 50 saved and allowed just 12 goals. This was the second game in a row that Jamieson recorded at least 50 saves, and his fourth overall this year. The Rock doubled up the FireWolves, shooting 62 shots on goal to Albany’s 31. On the season, Jamieson has made 364 saves, has a 12.49 GAA, and a 78% save percentage.
On defense, LaFontaine led the team with 8 loose ball recoveries. On the season, he now ranks third on the team with 53. Piatelli, Jackson Reid, Mike Byrne, and Aaron Forster each scooped up 5 loose balls on the night. Byrne and Ty Logan also blocked 1 shot in the loss. Leo Stouros caused 1 turnover on the night.
Albany’s penalty kill efforts were solid once again, killing off 2 of Toronto’s 3 man-up opportunities.
