George, Robbert Win MAAC Weekly Honors

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac men’s lacrosse has earned two MAAC weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday, March 6, 2023.
 
Demitri George has been named the league’s Faceoff Player of the Week, and Justin Robbert has been named Rookie of the Week.
 
George won 18-of-26 faceoff battles vs. Merrimack on Saturday in Hamden for the Bobcats. He scooped up 11 ground balls. The graduate student has won 71-of-115 faceoff attempts this season for QU, grabbing 45 ground balls in four contests.
 
Robbert, the first-year Bobcat, assisted on three goals against Merrimack. The Centereach, NY-native has an impressive total of six goals and seven assists over his first four collegiate games.
 
The two weekly honors are QU’s first of the 2023 season.
