HANOVER, N.H. – Following its big season-opening win at Merrimack on Saturday, another member of the Dartmouth men’s lacrosse team has been recognized, this time nationally. Senior Tommy Rogan was named to the 10-member USILA/Dynamic National Team of the Week on Tuesday following his five-point effort in the dramatic 11-10 victory.

Rogan collected the groundball and found sophomore Colin McGill in front for the game-winning goal with 3:02 remaining. Rogan had a hand in each of the Big Green’s four fourth-quarter goals, scoring the first two to pull Dartmouth even at nine, then assisting on the next two (to give the Big Green a 10-9 then 11-10 lead, which proved to be the final). Rogan also assisted on a Henry Bonnie second-quarter goal that evened the score at five.

The win came over a Merrimack opponent that was one of just three 3-0 teams in the nation entering the day. Rogan joins freshman Sam Cooper (Ivy League Rookie of the Week) and McGill (Dartmouth Male Athlete of the Week), who were also honored following the victory.

The Big Green return to action on Saturday when they travel to Holy Cross to face the Crusaders. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
