Bohi Named Big East Defensive Player of the Week

DENVER – Sophomore goalkeeper Emelia Bohi of the Denver Pioneers women’s lacrosse team is the Big East Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Bohi totaled 11 saves and added eight ground balls in DU’s two wins last weekend to open the 2023 season. He made four saves in a 5-4 win over Louisville on Friday before making seven stops in a 11-6 victory at Vanderbilt on Sunday.
 
Sophomore attacker Lauren Black was also recognized by being named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll. She recorded four goals, three ground balls and had 11 shots in the two games for the Pioneers.
 
UP NEXT: Denver continues its season-opening road swing on Saturday as the Pioneers travel up the road to Boulder to play the Colorado Buffaloes.
