Ohio State Wraps Up Preseason Competition Against Robert Morris

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team faced off against Robert Morris Saturday at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium in its final scrimmage in preparation for the 2023 season. The Buckeyes open their regular season campaign next Saturday, Feb. 4 against Air Force at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
“This was a great way to wrap up our third week of preseason,” Ohio State head coach Nick Myers said. “It starts with thanking Robert Morris. We had the privilege of playing these guys in the fall and it’s a really well coached team. They play fast and have some really good scorers. Coming in here, I knew we were going to be tested a little bit differently than we were last week and I’m proud of the way our guys responded to some of the challenges they presented.”
The preseason scrimmages gave fans a first look at the new home for Buckeye lacrosse. Located in the heart of what is considered Ohio State’s Athletics District, Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium is one of the nation’s premier lacrosse-specific venues. The stadium offers 360-degree vantage points, a state-of-the-art heated turf, a first-class training room, and more.
The men’s lacrosse team’s inaugural season at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium features regular season matchups against four of the top five teams rated in the Inside Lacrosse preseason poll. The Buckeyes, who earned a No. 11 ranking in the poll, will face off against seven ranked teams total during the regular season, including home matchups against No. 2 Maryland (April 9), No. 4 Cornell (March 4) and No. 19 North Carolina (Feb. 19).
